SHORT STORY NUMBER 1

It was the day of my job interview. It was a hot day of June when I received that call: “Good morning Miss Jessica, Mrs Simone told me to phone you”. That name was familiar to me. “Mrs Simone would like to take a job interview with you. The meeting would be in the afternoon. Are you available?” I answered without hesitation:” Of course”.” We are going to call you later to tell you the exact time for the meeting. Bye”

I was in panic. I didn’t have much time to get ready. I immediately wore quickly with a black dress of my mother: it was a little big for me, but it was the only dress I had suitable for a job interview. Without looking at the mirror, I left home and jumped into the car. Clouds were covering the sky and rain was falling lightly over the windscreen. Suddenly the car stopped because the petrol had run out. Ten minutes were left to the job interview, and I didn’t know what to do. Fortunately I heard a car honking: it was my friend Sara. “Get on the car or you will get a cold!”, she told me. “I owe you my life”, I answered. I arrived at the job interview just in time. I was messy, but I’ve got the job.

SHORT STORY 2

One month ago I won the “Provincial Tennis Tournament”. I was very happy especially when I won, in the semi-final, against my old tennis’ friend. It was a Saturday night and I was very exited. When the match started I was sure that I will lose. I have to say “thanks” to my family because they always support me when I play. Sunday afternoon I played the final against a guy that one year ago I had lost with. But this year I played very well and I won the tournament. I am still exited and I hope I will win other tournaments.
