Love wins everything

Once upon a time there was a young prince named William, son of the king of the kingdom of Avalon.
He was endowed with great courage and intelligence, as well as a generous boy loved by all the people.
All the girls dreamed of becoming his bride but only Charlize managed to win his heart.
They had met during a dance and the prince was immediately struck by the sensuality of the girl, who managed not to let him get away from her all night.
He looked so confident, determined and strong that William could not resist.

The two young married the following year, with the approval of the king who unfortunately died shortly after.
He was succeeded by William who ruled in a just and impartial manner.

The king and the bride had two daughters.
The eldest named Jo, had been a rebellious, tenacious and energetic child since she was a little girl, she liked nature and spent a lot of time in the woods riding her horse with a bow.
The minor named Emily, was very calm and solitary, always had a sad expression and did not seem to have passion for any activity that the court servants tried to teach her.

The older princess was hated by her mother: she was always slapped and locked in the darkest tower for the bond she had with her father, with whom she always went hunting.
With the other daughter, however, the queen was always kind and spoiled with expensive gifts.

One evening, King William became angry with his wife for his different behavior towards his daughters.
The queen then drew a knife from her dress and stabbed him to death.

Jo secretly witnessed what had happened through the crack in the door.
At that very moment the girl promised herself that she would avenge her father and that she would become the best queen the kingdom had ever known.

She had just discovered the true nature of his mother.

A few days later there was the king's funeral: the subjects were never shaken and desperate like at that moment.

Thus began ten long years of famine for the people of Avalon.
The queen imposed very heavy taxes, took possession of all the riches of the kingdom and condemned to death all those who dared to protest and rebel against his orders.
All the subjects, however, placed their hope in the eldest daughter, who was considered by all to be a predestined and savior of the people.

Now that her father was no longer there to defend her, Jo was alone.
To escape from his mother's wickedness he took refuge in the dungeons where he trained all day.
She had become a skilled warrior, better than any army general.
But the girl was always disturbed by the solitary behavior of her younger sister.
Emily did not seem to understand her mother's cruelty, indeed she seemed to build an ever stronger bond with her as time passed.

One night Jo had a dream.
An angel appeared to her, showed her the true story of the queen: she was a witch who four hundred years before had made a pact with the devil, according to which every hundred years she would be reincarnated as a beautiful woman who should have brought evil to the world.
In the dream he also saw his sister Emily.
The evil queen is plagiarizing her, giving her poison every day that made her increasingly apathetic and emotionless.
The corner showed her that the mother wanted to create the copy of herself, Emily, in fact, in the not too distant future she would have had to kill Jo.

Jo awoke with a start and saw the angel of the dream in front of her.
He ordered her to save her sister from her mother's wickedness, and gave her a crystal sword, with which she should have ended the queen's existence.

The princess then prepared to hide the sword inside the mattress.

From the following morning Jo always changed her sister's breakfast milk: her eyes were turning from dull gray to a bright blue, and her ash-blond hair turned golden.

The queen did not understand the reason for the change of her younger daughter, who in the meantime was becoming more and more fond of Jo.
He decided to separate the two sisters, driving the eldest from the castle.

But the predestined princess knew what Emily would go to without her help, so she invoked her guardian angel who gave her a potion.
The liquid would have inhibited all the effects of the queen's poison.
Then she took the sword, hid it under his cloak and left.

The girl found herself living among the poor, taught them to get food by hunting and using the bow.
All the children loved her. They spent a lot of time with her playing and telling stories of fairies and knights.

Jo was very astute and with her kindness convinced the people to take sides with her, fighting for their dignity and for the prosperity of the kingdom.

The younger sister had meanwhile grown up and understood how bad the mother was.
He knew the only way to save herself would be to escape.
One morning, after breakfast, he collected some provisions in a cloth and fled into the enchanted forest.

The atmosphere was grim, a leaden sky surmounted his head and a smell of burning mixed with heavy air.
Ever since Charlize came to power, even the forest had changed: there no longer lived cheerful nymphs, goblins and animals with fantastic powers but infernal demons and ferocious beasts.

Just in the moment of greatest need, the angel who had helped her older sister appeared before her.
This time, however, she looked like a naiad, a water nymph, dressed in a dress of water lilies.
He showed her the path to follow and gave her an amulet that would protect her from evil spirits.

After taking the path, reassured by the words of the naiad, she saw the enemies die in his path, leaving her free to continue.

Suddenly a roar broke through the dark and silent night.
A majestic lion, radiant with a bright white mane blocked her passage.
Emily fainted.
When she awoke, the magical animal was still there: he had watched her all night, so that no beast could kill her. He told her that he was the only survivor of the massacre of enchanted beings who once populated the forest.
He had come to know about Jo's struggle and for this he decided to follow her: he wanted to fight himself to redeem the honor of his dead comrades.

After two more days of travel they arrived at the borders of the kingdom where the elder sister had prepared her army.

When the two girls met there was a big hug between the two and tears wet their faces.

Later Jo put on the armor; dressed in silver and white gold with the crystal sword in the sheath she looked like a goddess.

All the soldiers and knights were riding majestic horses, all except the princess, who was on the back of the proud lion.

The women and children remained in the villages, protected by Emily's presence.

After five days of walking she arrived at the castle.
Jo had never noticed how ghastly it had become since her father's death: the waterfalls had frozen, the walls had turned black and wrapped in a viscous liquid similar to tar, grates of cold metal spread as far as the eye could see.

The queen realized that it was time to send her army to the attack: the troops were not made up of human beings but of monstrous creatures.
Ten days of long and exhausting battles followed one another; both armies were exhausted but the queen continued to observe the macabre spectacle, impassive, from the highest tower.

The warrior princess left the command of the army to seven trusted knights and headed for the castle.
She walked an infinite amount of stairs, protected by the blade of the blessed sword he used with great skill.

She arrived on the top floor where the queen was waiting for her with a wicked and sure grin of victory.

Jo drew her sword and ran against the queen with all her anger.
It was not easy for the princess: the queen had evil powers that she used against her daughter on time.
But she was unstoppable, nothing would have taken her away from her goal and after a hard duel she pierced her mother's heart with the crystal weapon.

The woman's body gradually dried up to become ash.

In an instant all the wickedness disappeared from the kingdom.
The sky became clear, like the waters that flowed in the rivers.
The trees dressed in flowers and the birds went back to singing.

Jo had just inaugurated a new era for the Avalon kingdom.
An era of peace and prosperity.
An era in which, for the first time, the kingdom was ruled by a warrior queen and a loving sister.
