Elizabeth Bishop was born on the 8th February in 1911 in Worcester, Mass., U.S. and she died on the 6th October in 1979 in Boston. She was an American poetess known for her polished, witty, descriptive verse. Her poetry first were published in "The New Yorker" and other magazines.
