DOLUNAY (FULL MOON) – VIDEO ANALYSIS

The video starts with the sound of seagulls and a ship.

The ship and a lighthouse are on the forefront. The scene is set at night on the seaside.

The brighter thing, and the core of the scene, is the full moon, which acquires a metaphorical meaning and adds a mysterious, catching, romantic, inspirational and melancholic effect to the atmosphere. The ambience is composed of different shades of blue.

The video proceeds showing a little village at night. There are a few people behind some windows, which can be either a metaphor for a barrier or a protective shield.

On the roof of a condominium building there is a young lady facing the moon and you can figure out that the wind is blowing from a single cloud moving to the left.

The framing focuses on a lonesome cat pacing, then returns back on the young lady, who is the focus of the video.

Later, there is a shooting star, the lady begins to walk on the seaside and, suddenly, whispers something to the moon.

A young man is laying on a boat in the middle of the sea as a metaphor of distance. A dendelion seed, blown by the wind, reaches him, symbolizing a journey steeped in hope. Then he reaches for a star and blows it to her. The star passes through her and rejoins him, who clutches to it and gets carried away.

The young man joins the young lady while she’s walking through some bare trees, he grabs her hand and as a consequence she’s also carried away along the dark sky. They fly in front of the moon and the scene focuses again on the still lonely cat, which switches color from white to black.

At the end, in the last scene the cat passes through two different windows, behind the first one there’s the young lady, whereas behind the second one there’s the young man. They are both alone, peering out the window. Even the atmosphere is changed, it’s no longer made of different shades of blue, instead it’s composed by dull shades of grey and beige.
