Since you started school when you were 6 years old to the present day, at school you have always been studying poems, short stories and other forms of literature. Discuss your experience in that field and say what it was like. This year you will be studying literary texts and learn how to approach textual analysis in English.
What are your expectations and/or your fears?

Since I started school when I was 6 years old to the present day, at school I have always been studying poems, short stories and other forms of literature. At first I was little and it was very difficult for me to approach that field. Obviously, poems, short stories and other forms of literature were easier and so was comprehension for us. They were fantastic stories, with characters fruit of imagination, they weren’t the classic things that we’re studying now at our high school. After some time, I started to understand them and I enjoyed to learn about them. I am a very curious and creative person and thanks to this I was able to write some things that didn’t seem so easier before.
This year I will be studying literary texts and learn how to approach textual analysis in English. I’m very enthusiastical to do it, because it will be totally different in rispect to other years. My expectations are do study of some new things, for example the figures of speach, the meaning of poems that I haven’t studied yet. One thing I want to improve is writing in English. I’ve never been so good at it and it is one of my biggest fears. I would like to comunicate in the best of ways.
In my opinion, textual analysis is the most important competence when we study a poem, a song, every type of text. Fortunately, I like analising every detail and I believe that it will be an advantage for me. I have to understand the context of the different situations. Finally, an additional fear is that I can’t satisfy the expectations of my teacher.
So, I hope to learn everything possible this year!
