Entry test

When I started studying poems, short story and other forms of literature I took it like a game. When I was in the elementary school texts were funny poems and enjoyable poems that I had to study by heart. Instead, when I went to the middle school the study of literature become more serious. I started studying the life of the author, the context of the text and the untold meaning. I had to study by heart dates, facts and sometimes the text. And most importantly I had to understand the text.

When I came to the high school the way of studying literature changed again.

I started studying not the texts by heart but I learned how to analyse the structure and the use of the words and figures of speech in a text even if was the first time I saw it. I completely change the way of study literature.

This year I will study literature in English.

I am kind of worried about that because it is the first time for me and because English is a foreign language, so I suppose it will be more difficult.

I expect not to study by heart. Instead I expect to go deeper into the text and analyse it, to discover new words, new points of view and the way English changes year from year.
