Since I started school, 10 years ago, my approach to Italian has always been marked lay ups and downs. Indeed until the 3rd year of secondary school I had almost hated this subject. All changed last year, when we got a new teacher and we started studying Italian literature. Thank to this teacher I started getting passinate about literature and partecipating a lot during the lessons. Since that moment I’ve never stopped loving this subject! For this reason I’m very excited about starting the study of English literature.

English has always been one of my favourite subjects thank to my mum, who is very good at it and inspired me. Indeed, since I was 12 years old I’ve been reading many books in English and I really prefer them to the Italian translations. So during this year I expect lots of interesting and engaging lessons. Hopefully we will read some extracts of my favourite books or my favourite authors. At the same time I’m a little scared beacuse some poems can be really difficult to analyze, but I think even the most complicated things can become easier when you love what you’re doing, so I want to be positive.
