Britain’s Food and Drink Festivals

Do you know we make over 700 types of cheese? If you like cheese, come to the Nantwich International Cheese Show, considered the ‘number 1 cheese show on earth’.

Britain is, of course, an island, so we have some of the best seafood in the world. The tasty oysters of Whitstable- celebrated by the Romans, too! - are the protagonists of the world-famous Whitstable Oyster Festival.

Pembrokeshire Fish Week in Wales is also a fishy feast not to miss with an entire week devoted to the crab and other fish, typical of the area.

Don’t forget the Ludlow Food Festival, a must if you are a fan of food festivals. It hosts 130 independent food and drink producers and events include cookery competitions, tutorials and contests judging the best sausages, pork, pies and sandwiches.
