I started studying Italian at the age of six, so in the first class of the primary school. At the elementary school my favourite subject was History, I didn’t love Italian but I didn’t hate it too. During the Italian hours we read very small and easy tests and we produced simple essaies. From what I remember, I didn’t have a lot of troubles in doing these activities, in particular I was so good in writing tests because I had a lot of imagination. At the Secondary school I started to like Italian less and less, up to becoming one of the subjects I didn’t like more. We started studying grammar and producing essaies longer, I hated writing them: the aspect I didn’t like more of Italian at the secondary school was writing a test every week preparing to take the third-class exam. The first class of the High school as for the Italian subject wasn’t so hard, we repeated and refused subjects I had just studied at the Secondary school like “Odissea” and “Eneide”. Instead the second class was more and more complex and challenging than the first, at the beginning of the year I got some bad marks in Italian, principally in essaies but with a lot of work I succeeded in getting a good final mark. Now I’m in the third class and I’m starting to study Italian literature , I have a lot of high expectations, I hope it will be fascinating and maybe I will change my opinion of Italian subject.
