Since I was a child, I always had a positive approach to literary study.
I've grown up with books: every night, before I fell asleep, my dad read me some pages of my favorite stories, I was only four or five years old, but I already loved literature.
My father taught me to respect other people's opinion, point of view and ideas also reading novels and short stories for children. I'm really thankful for this.
When I started school I was 6 years old and I was very excited to learn reading and how to improve my language skills.
I wanted to develop the ability of understanding the deep and secret messages hidden in a text.
After the fifth year of primary school I become a literature fan. Also thanks to the theatre, ( my family and I often go there ), I learnt to love it.
In the middle school I discovered lots of new emotional things. I knew the classic poems, like "Odissea" and "Eneide". The last one was my favorite. I really liked reading about mi mythical roots.
When I started high school my feelings didn't change, but the level of the study became harder.
At the beginning I was afraid of lots of things.
I was afraid of the teacher because I didn't know how she would teach me in the following years, and I was frightened about the small, very small fonts of literature books.
The first time I saw a high school book I became white as a sheet.
Step by step I became confident, but I still have some difficulties about textual analysis.
This year I think it will be an important step of my study path.
I'll approach textual analysis in English, and I think it will be an emotional discovery.
I'm fascinated by Shakespeare, by his famous "Romeo and Juliet", "Amleto", which I've already read, and "Macbeth", which I think will be a passionate story. It will be a very emotional journey !
But I've also some insecurities. I know that I'll have to study a lot and I'm going to do my best.
Let's see what this year will bring us !
