Correction - Entry test

Literature is a subject i actually appreciate, I like studying the life of writers and their stories. Two things i like most are the journeys and the important meaning as well as What they do in their existences.
At first, I didn't use to enjoy little stories i had to learn by heart, I thought they were boring and useless, as I do with All subjects right from the start. However, after some time, I begin to appreciate those stories, I think my favourite is
probably  5 may by Alessandro Manzoni.
Im starting literature in english and I hope it will be less boring than the Italian one at the beginning, but, on the other side I am afraid about what approach we are going to use.
I dont know much about english literature so I want to a nice first approach because, otherwise, I would not be interested.
A my fear is also to study the poets' poems and not the lifes, because i want to know how they become writers and in what conditions they lived, to watch the differences and the analogies with the poets we have already studied to the present day: Italian writers.
I think the reason why literature was considered boring from me are the texts' arguments and stories: they are not original, in fact they have written many centuries before now.
Though, i think it will be interesting.
