IMAGINE JHON LENNON
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people living for today Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people living life in peace, you You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope some day you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope some day you'll join us And the world will be as one
starting from the title, the intelligent reader understands that the song will have the imagination as its main topic. This song is organize in to five stanzas: in the first one the author invites us to imagine that there is no paradise and he believes it is easy if you try and asks us to imagine that there is no hell below us.
It asks to imagine that all people don’t think about the future, but live day by day, that there are no more countries that make people different: the author invites us to imagine a world without countries, nothing to kill or die for, no religion, a world where inequalities doesn’t exist but we are all similar because we are human. the author is not the only one who hopes for this image and hopes that whoever listens to the song will join him creating an equal world. a world without greed or hunger, with no possessions would become a world of brotherhood between men where people are united. in this song the author invites everyone to be human first all, he invites to let go ambitions and selfishness, inequalities and envy.
