PEACE - BETHEL MUSIC feat. WE THE KINGDOM

The song ia arranged into 8 stanzas: four verses, a bridge that continues into two stanzas and two choirs.

In the first stanza the singer tells about different difficul situations. The first line starts with a similitude of his mind like a battlefield, then he says that his heart is overcome by fear (this passive form undeline the undergoing of actions), and in conclusion he makes another similiude: the hope seems like a ship that's lost in the see (another use of passive form).

The second stanza starts with others negative images: enemis on every side (in the first line), and the the tempted to run and hid (in the second line) . In the third, and last line, of this stanza there is a change of tone, the image that is given from the words used by he singer, is a positive one: ''your gentle whisper reaches out to me''.

The first stanza and the first two lines of the second one transmit some negative images (mind like a battlefield, heart that is overcome by fear, hope seems like a ship that is lost in the see, enemis on every side and and the tempted to run and hide), that are contrasted by the last line of the seconda stanza, that introduce a positive imagine of a gentle whisper out of the singer, that could belongs to a specific person, important to him.

In the chorus there is a contrast of positive images and negative onces :peace that holds the singer when he is broken, sweet peace that passes understandig when the whole wild world is crashing down, and he falls to his knees, and breathe in your peace.

The positive images are peace, sweet peace that passes understanding, and the breathe of ''your'' peace (this ''your'' maybe belongs to the same person that is expresses with ''you'' in the second stanza).

The negative images are: 'I'm broken', 'whole wild world is crashing down', and 'fall to my knees'.

The third stanza resumes some negative images: Fiery arrows whistling (in the first line and the terror of the night sets (in the second one), they are opposed to by the last line that say that despite of these bad things he can feel Your angel all arond. This sentence belongs to the religious field, so this ''You'' could rappresents God.

In the fourth stanza the singer says. ''i am resting underneath the shelter of Your mightly wings Your promises are where my hope is found''.

These three lines convey a sense of security, through the words 'underneath the shelter'.

The pronoun 'Your' is written again whit the capital letter, and the intelligent reader may understand that 'Your mightly wings' recalls the figure of an angel, who belongs to the thematic field of religion.

In the bridge, there is the revelation that the pronoun 'You' is refear to God, that isn't far, and keep save in his arms, this ''be save in God's arms'' is a metaphor of faith.

The singer says that he remembers who God is, and that and that he won't be afraid, so this means that he trusts him, and he remembers him, maybe bacause he know this religion, so to be a believer allows him to know God.

The folows stanza is almost the same, the only differences are the second and fourth lines' ends. In the line two the words ''ever' and ''away'' rafforce the meaning of the sentence 'You are the God who is never ever far away''. In he last line, the words ''You always keep me safe'' underline again he sense of security that God gives to him.

The last stanza, the chorus two, takes up the concempts of the chorus one: the sense of peace and secutity that God gives. The stanza ends with the declaration that the singer makes to God, telling him that he is the only one.

So the sense of peace is given by God.
