“Imagine” is a song by John Lennon published in a historical period marked by the conflict in Vietnam, the cold war and many other tragic conflicts around the world. The text can be considered as a hymn to peace and brotherhood among human beings, invited to lower the hatchet and become one. With this song Lennon proposes us to imagine a new world or a world without prejudice, without discrimination, as we will all be the same and where there is nothing that divides people. No religion, no state, no heaven and no hell; a world where everyone will live every single day at their best, a world where there will be no age, therefore nothing to be jealous of and where everything will be shared. However, a vision of a world that will never come true, a utopia to which Lennon himself has little hope.
