MACBETH

-Macbeth is a complex character, who changes during the play.

-He repeatedly questions himself about his motive to kill the king and rise to power. (he has a big thirsty for power, but he is undecised).

-He is brave (a mighty warrior), ambitious (he wants to became the king of Scotland), changeable (he keeps changing in his mind about killing Duncan or not), and he has got a guilty coscience (because he killes him to be more powerful).

The murder of a king was considerated the worst act, because the power was given by God, so killing a king, someone went against the will of God. That is why Machbeth, after Dunacn's murder had a lot of problems with his consciousness.
