DIALOGUE

ME: Hi Laura!

LAURA: Hi Ester! What are you doing here?

ME: I’m buying some Christmas presents for my parents and my friends, and you?

LAURA: Me too! I bought a cap for my little sister, a pair of gloves for my mother, a pair of slippers for my father and a cup for my friend Katy.

ME: Nice presents! Katy will love the cup! Last Christmas I recived a cup from my best friend Lucy, I always use it.

LAURA: Last Christmas my friends organised a wonderful party, with a lot of food music!

ME: Amazin! How was it?

LAURA: I couldn’t go there! I had to have dinner with all my relatives! I was so boring! I hated it!

ME: What a sad story! I had dinner with my relatives, too. But it wasn’t so bad! There were my cousins, Lorenzo and Celeste, and I played a lot with them! They went to my house after lunch and the other guests arrived at about five o’clock p.m. We had some chips and some strudel with vegetables. Then we had my grandmother’s mushroom soup, it was delicious! Then we had some rice with sauseges and for dessert we had a wonderful cheese cake! What did you do all the time?

LAURA: Lucky you! I had to stay all the time on the chair and I had to listen to my relatives talking about their illness! It was terrible! The food wasn’t bad. We had some meat with potatoes. But I hated the dessert, it was a cake with fruit and cream, I don’t like fuit!

ME: I’m sorry! I hope this time you will have a great party! Marry Christmas!
