Shen Jin is one of Duke Rui’s daughters. She is an intelligent and spunky lady who also masquerades as Lord Jin. Her mother is a lowly waitress and often gets bullied by her half-sisters and her father’s other consort. The Emperor decrees that the second daughter of the Rui family should be married off to the Earl of Yongning, General Chu Xiu Ming. But General Chu as known as the demonic general. Shen Zi doesn’t want to get married whit the General Chu and argues that Shen Jin is the second daughter because they were born at the same time. They fight because of it and Shen Jin’s mother is bullied. Shen Jin gets fed-up and agrees to the wedding to protect her mother. With the marriage to the General, she would have a title and the family wouldn’t be able to bully her mother anymore. On the way to General Chu’s residence, their convoy is ambushed by the Falcon Tribe. Shen Jin and her waitress, Rou Rou, hide themselves in the woods. A masked general appears and defeats the enemies with his troops. Then, they leave and they reach the General’s Mansion without Shen Jin and Rou Rou. The two ladies have to walk all the way to General Chu’s residence. Then Shen Jin and Rou Rou sneak at the General’s Mansion because nobody opens them the door. After that Shen Jin sees General Chu in his study and thinks he is just an aide of the General, until his aides called him General. General Chu is cautious because the previous 3 ladies sent to him were spies.

PERSONAL COMMENT: I think that General Chu Xiu Ming understand that Shen Jin isn’t a spy and he starts to frequent her. Probably, they first become friends and after that they start to love each other. I think that the story may continue with the attack of the Falcon tribe in the General’s Mansion or other interesting facts.
