General's Lady - Episode 1 predictions

In the first episode, the watcher doesn't receive any background information on the characters or an introduction of the story, but it isn't hard to deduct them from the events. In fact, you can easily tell that the protagonist isn't happy about her noble life and, because of that, she started playing a game and eventually became so invested in it that she began taking part in competitions, where she rarely loses. A plausible reason for her to hate her life in the mansion is the hostile environment she has to face, where the only person who truly cares about her is her mother. The protagonist, seeing her mother being bullied tìby her step-sisters, decides to sacrifice herself for her mother's sake and forces her to sign the papers to become the General Demon's new wife, well aware that his previous wives were killed with his own hands. 

I really enjoyed the first episode and I look forward to finding out how the story will go on, but I can already make some predictions. First of all, since the very beginning, the General Demon is described as a cold hearted man that wouldn't hesitate to kill someone if he needed to, but from the way the two looked into each other's eyes when they met in the General's mansion I believe that the two will fall in love and, in the end, he will sacrifice his life to save the lady's one. It was a great plot twist initially, but then it became so commonly used that I almost surely know that it's going to happen. Even so, I still can't imagine the central part of the plot, so I'm really curious to see how the story will continue.
