Summary of episode 3

Episode 3 begins with the general leaving the mansion. General’s lady decides to take advantage of the opportunity and to search into the general’s room to find her jade.

Unfortunately she doesn’t know the general took it with him out of the mansion and she doesn’t find it. Right on  that moment the general’s brother arrives at the general’s home and he only finds the general’s lady. Meanwhile the general is trying to open the secret chamber with the lady’s jade but he doesn’t succeed.

The general’s brother warns the lady about an enemy attack from the Hawk. Then she decides to wear the general’s armor and take the general’s sword and knife to fend off the enemies.

They are scared but they attack anyway after hearing a girl's voice speaking. Luckily the general arrives and defeats all the enemies, saving his wife.

After that they dine all together to celebrate her bravery. After dinner the lady enters the general’s room pretending to recieve a price. She asks him to sleep in his bed because it is more comfortable. He agrees to let her stay in his room from then on. Then she falls asleep.

The next day the servants prepare her to a wedding night with the general decorating the room and dressing the lady in red. She waits for him sitting on the bed until he returns. He tells her she misunderstood and she agrees with him. She asks him to leave the room but he says they have to act  as if they were  married. However they can’t sleep together because they aren’t a couple so she sleeps on a cough in the same room.

The day after a painter from another court arrives.
