Shen Jin, under the order of the emperor, was to become the wife of General Chu Xiu Ming. During the future wife's journey, they are stopped by the general's army, telling Shen Jin's escort that from now on they could take her to Chu Xiu Ming's residence. Shortly after a group of soldiers, called the Clan of the Falcone, had interrupted the journey and, therefore, the two groups had started to fight, and then concluded the battle with the victory by the general's army, thanks also to the fact that the Chu Xiu Ming had arrived in the middle of the battle and then killed most of the men of the rival clan. Meanwhile, the possible future bride and her assistant, Rou Rou, had hidden behind a tree and, after the conflict ended, they realized that the general's army had abandoned them. Consequently, they had decided to find the general's residence on foot, as they could not ride a horse. They had only reached Chu Xiu Ming's residence that same evening and their first meeting had taken place here. Shen Jin tells the general that she is the wife-to-be, however Chu Xiu Ming still can't trust him, as his last three wives were spies.
