Summary of episode 4 of “General’s Lady”

Shen Jin had indigestion after being duped by General Chu and had to run out of all food during dinner with the court artist. He then took pity on her and took her for a walk to help with her indigestion. Shen Jin's mother sends her a letter and an embroidery. General Chu notes that the pattern resembles the one in the secret chamber. He took her there. It was under a grave in the forest. Shen Jin managed to pick the lock to get them into the next room. There are booby trapped and General Chu protected her from flying arrows with one that grazes her back. Then they come across a coffin. General Chu places Shen Jin's pendant on a groove and opened. Retrieve a seal from the coffin. Back home, Shen Jin helped him heal his wound. She is moved by all the scars on her body. He tells him that he understands why he must be known as a demonic general. This is because it needed to scare enemies and protect the country. Shen Jin discovered that the real General Chu is very different from what he heard. She admitted that she fell in love with him. He also apologized for suspecting he was a spy. She kissed him. He ran away when someone knocks on the door. Shen Jin is happy and planning to consummate their marriage that night. She wanted to wait him, but General Chu thinks of his deceased parents who died in an attack when he was a child. He wanted to investigate the truth and also wrote a divorce letter for Shen Jin.
