Since from the title the reader may expect the poem to be about religious field. Indeed all these extract is about the fallen of lucifer from the paradise tothe hell.

The poem is made up by only one stanza. It isa first person speech, in this case is Satan. The poem starts with a retolical question, indeed Satan think about his situation and alcso facies god. But after all Satan knows that he is powerfull and most importanthe is free, so he can reing as he wants in hell.

Also the Historical period influenced the poem, indeed during the years there were many internal conficts in england.
