THE SUN RISING

Just by reading the title I expect the song to talk about tomorrow. The song is organize in three stanzas each made up of ten lines. In this song the poet complains about the sunlight that comes to disturb the intimacy of the two lovers and scolds him saying that he should go and wake up other people who really need his light, such as the boys who are late for school. Above all, it speaks that love, unlike the sun, persists and is not variable like the hours, the seasons but they are always the same. The speaking voice speaks in the first person and addresses the sun in an ironic tone. It also uses metaphors to point out substantial differences.He uses a lot of rhetorical questions that he mainly addresses to the sun and emphasizes even more the persistence of feeling like love and uses the imperative form which is a very unusual genre.
