The objet of the present work is to analyze the setting of the first episode of the Meteor Garden in order to understand how it is connected with the people’s culture. 

The serie is setting in a big city, it is full of modern skyscraper, this make me understand how much the city is avant-garde. 

More precisely most scenes took place in a school. The school is a prestigious university and it mirrors the importance and the prosperity of the city. All students are well dressed, this make me understand that a lot of them are rich. 

On the contrary a student, a girl, comes home when the school finished. It’s curious to see the difference between the previously setting and the second one. The girl lives in a poor zone of the city. The house is really simple.

This contraposition helps the listener to understand the disparity defused between the two social classes. 

It is also important to notice that the girl, despite her family situation, can go to school, the most prestigious one.
