Let winter break
Let it burn 'til I see you again
I will be here with you
Just like I told you I would
I'd love to always love you
But I'm scared of loneliness
When I'm, when I'm alone with you

I know it's hard
Only you and I
Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
And I guess, I guess
It is hell and you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you

And where did she go?
Truth left us long ago
And I need her tonight because I'm scared of loneliness with you, baby
And I should let it go
But all that is left is my perspective, broken and so left behind again

I know it's hard
Only you and I
Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
And I guess, I guess
It is hell and you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you

Reading the title, the reader can understand that the first verb, “ROOTING”, is a gerund and so it is a continuative action that the writer, who is probably also the singer, is doing. This verb means support, so this song is addressed to a person who the singer appreciates for his qualities and his values also because the title is composed also by ”FOR YOU” who is the addresser of this song; we don’t know who is the addresser because, surely this person is the writer’s lover and but we don’t know if YOU is a man or a woman.

The song is divided into two stanzas and two chorus; the language is very easy because there are some abbreviations and the writer refers to a specific person who is YOU.

There are two repetitions “I guess” and “and my darlin’, I’ll be rooting for you ” to underline that the writer will have trust for YOU because the writer, despite has been deluded by his love, wants to continue being sure in YOU’ s capacities.

There is a personification of truth because the writer needs of it because the writer is scared to stay alone with ”YOU”;a other form is the presence of the verb “burn”, that is always refered to the a warm space, with the expression “winter”, that is refered to a cold situation.

The song’s message is that everyone has been deluded at least once during his life, but after that this happened we have to find the force to counter.

If someone will send me this song I will get worry because if a person that I love sends me a song like this I fell sorry and mortified because probably I have done wrong to this person and I would feel guilty, so I will try to excuse me for what I did and I will try to make me forgive because I think to the others before thinking to me: about what they think, what expect by me and I’m very alert about what I say and what I do in the role of not disappoint the others (my parents, my teachers, my friends and my family).

So if someone will send me this song in a message I will excuse me and do everything to reconquer the other’s confidence.

I think that sending this song could be a good idea to reconcile people that argued and anyone of the couple of friends, relatives or everything else has the courage to do the first move to get together again, because nowadays everyone is too selfish and proud to admit his mistake and do everything possible to find a remedy for it; I think that this song could make someone think about his self and starting to think more for the others, making a conscience check, and to make people think about his behaviours.

I really like this song because it make me think about what I did to the others and starting to thinking about how to change my selfish conduct.
