Dear Mrs. Beltramini,

I am writing this email to let you know the reason I did not come to school today. 

This morning I was getting ready as usual, but for some reason, when I went to open my house's gate, it would not work. I tried to force it open, but it seems like it was stuck, so my mother and I couldn't get out with the car and we had to call an electrician.

I am deeply sorry for my absence and I hope that it will not happen again.
