HOW IS ZEYNEP GRADUATION SPEECH CONNECTED TO EPISODE ONE?

Zeynep's entire speech is focused on her family and past story.So, immediately, from the beginning there is a comparison that reminds to episode 1. Zeynep’s success at University depends on her big dream. When she was young, she and her older brother dreamed of becoming a judge and a lawyer because they want to fight their alcoholic father who didn't allow them to study.

The first people she thanks during her speech are teachers because they create the occasion to grow up and understand lots of thing to become a lawyer.Later, she thanks her mothers, without whom she would not be the person she has become.

Her fortune changes when the family that has her mother as a cleaning lady offers to adopt the young woman. Her parents agree in the hope of giving their daughter a better life. She will learn, be loved, and be surrounded by beautiful things; but she always carries a feeling of non-belonging. She explains that on the one hand, she is crushed by the sacrifices of her own mother, while on the other hand she tries to back up the dreams of her other mother for her. While trying to maintain the balance between the two sides for years, the girl continues to question herself who she really is. (what family’s daughter she is).

Zeynep concludes the speech by saying that she wants to dedicate her graduation diploma to her dead brother, who she had promised to graduate in Law, she also tells some memories of her childhood, that appear at the beginning of the episode 1.
