OBJECTIVE OF THE WORK: write a short story based on the semantic fields founded in the extract of the book Eric, or Little by Little

POINTS COMMON TO MOST MEMBERS/DIFFERENCES (in relation to objective):

All members agreed on the following points:

• the main semantic fields to develop ( “family”, “greetings”, “different times during the day”; “in the school”; “in the playground”);
• to use a simple language in the story to make it accessible to little children;
• to create moments of suspense in the story in order to catch their attention.

METHOD/PROCEDURE FOLLOWED IN THE WORKSHOP: first of all we read the extract silently and we underlined the words with a relevant meaning, after that each member expressed her idea and opinion about the semantic fields to consider without following a specific order, finally we started writing our story singling out the words and the phrases shared by all members.

TIME KEEPING: we used all the time given us during the lesson, moreover we met in different moments to carry on with our project.

OUTCOMES: we created a power point which presents the story.

PROPOSALS: to create a long-term project dividing the story into sequences thinking about different activities, which could be linked to this story.

OPEN QUESTIONS: no open questions have come tu surface.
