MICRO-TEACHING FEEDBACK
1. Did the teacher motivate you to want to
read?
Quite enough.
2. How effectively did the activity help you
to comprehend the entire reading text?
It was helpful because it made us
think of the general idea first. Starting from the title
allows you to immediately and inconsciously brainstorm and expect something out of the text.
3. How would you improve
the activity?
Given the shorteness
of the teaching lesson I think it was
quite good and motivating. I would advise the teacher went around the class and checked out how the groups are actually working.
4. Which reading skills were practised?
Reading for gist and reading
for scanning principally.
5. Are the reading
skills in the activity useful in real life? Yes, I think they
are because if you think about
it you read
in the same way when you read a newspaper
for example: you select an
article and look for
the main information. Eventually you look for details
but first of all it is the gist
what you are after. I think this strategy helps you to find
out the topic of a text
in the minimum time.
