What is an ecosystem?

Ecosystem is the interaction of communities of plants, animals and the environment of an area. This can be: Intact, like wind environments to the limits of the Alps.

Modified by man, woods and pastures at high altitudes. They have changed after human intervention but may also continued without his intervention.

Straight man, are the countryside and the cities, which remain as we see them thanks to the continuing human intervention.

In an area different ecosystems coexist at different stairs of ecosystems, ecosystems are both march stump and wooded slope.

What's a wood?

The wood is a modified ecosystem by man that is characterized  of the presence of trees cover a big part of soil.

To talk about wood, with all the wealth of relation among various member of the ecosystem, you need a lowest area of the formation.

What's a forest?

The forest is an ecosystem that born of the interaction of various ecosystems insist in a big area dominated of woods. In the forest we can find freshwater ecosystems, pastures, clearing, peat bog and a lot of other environment.

Why do we have so much interest for woods?

Because man have many expectation about woods and their coexist is not always easy or possible. This is why we need in some case the presence of human to realize these waits, saying function of wood.

Botany:

It is the whole of possible presence in a wood.

Settlement:

It is the organisation in space and in time of botany intervention, is a compromise among human and wood perception of time.

What are the functions of woods?

Productive, as the production of the timber, but in other areas mushrooms or small fruit too.

Protective, protecting the stability of a slope, a source, or a wood if the formation is so unstable that an intervention can compromise the stability of them.

Tourist-recreational, both for a direct fruition aside person and as overview that in the complex do agreeable a valley.

Naturalistic and environmental, for a specific specie of considerable interesting or for an ecosystem deserving of protection; or the obsession on carbon dioxite.

Hygienic-sanitary, for example a park near a city that improve air and life quality.

Why do we talk about kind of woods?

To value what kind of botany do to maximize the functionality,  it is necessary compare and discussing.

The limit of human mind is that you can compare yourselves with other people about something giving the name, subdividing the natural variety in groups more or less homogeneous.

Like this happen for plants and animals, how study them and speak without group and without name.
