Up to Reading, understanding and learning about ecosystems
Today, the 11th of March 2010 at about 11.30. , we had done a new experience: during the fourth hour, we went to school's garden with two teachers: mr. Sponza and mrs. Beltramini, it had just snowed, to begin the first stage of the experience of practice study of an ecosystem. The ecosystem that we are going to study through this experience is the system medow.
The first stage forsaw the setting of traps that had been arranged in a chess shape respecting the given distance by mr. Sponza. We have used some small empty yogurt jars or some plastic glass and we have poured a solution with alcohol and water at 50% into them where we expect to find some insects that live in the ground. We are going to wait for a week to see what is going to happen.
It's the first time that we have test in first person data gatering (insects that we expect to find) that then we are going to observe and analize based on classification keys or based on catagoryes in referring on similarity and differences that we are going to consider more appropriate to use according to a riflection of that we are finding.
