Today, 11th March 2010 at about 11.30 am, we had done a new experience with mr Sponza and miss Beltramini; during the 4th period of lesson, it had just snowed, we went into the garden of our school to begin the first stage of the pratical study experiment of an ecosystem. The ecosystem that we are going to study through this experience is the lawn system.
The first stage foresaw the setting of the traps that have been set in a chess shape respecting the distance given by mr. Sponza. These traps are small empty yogurt jars or plastic glasses where we have poured a solution of alcohol and water at 50% and we expect to find some insects that live in the ground. We are going to wait for a week to see what is going to happen.
It's the first time that we have personally experienced a data gathering (insects that we expect to find) then we are going to observe and analize referring to classification keys or catagoryes based on similarities and differences that we are going to consider more appropriate to use according to a reflection on what we will find.
