The letter I am going to analyse is a Pamela's letter which includes another letter she has discovered, it is written by Lady Davers who is Mr. B's sister. The letter is made up by two sequences, the first one is about Lady Davers' letter and the second one is Pamela's letter.

In the letter Lady Davers invites her brother to forget Pamela and reading the letter the reader can understand that the Lady supports her idea giving argumentations. At the time in which the epistolary novel Pamela was written, the relationship between a noble man and a poor woman was regular but Mr B's sister supports the idea that her brother would not behave in that way if Pamela belonged to the high class.

The second part includes the letter written by Pamela, it is addressed to her parents and she speaks about the relation between poor and rich. Pamela's opinion is that all the men are equal because during the life they could be poor or rich but they have to die all in the same way and in front of God to be poor or rich is not important. Pamela's thought shows that the Puritan view of life dominates herself. In fact Puritanism supports that if a man knows or can make something that would be useful for society, he had to use and cultivate his ability and some more Pamela's argumentation is a religious argumentation which shows that poor people trust themselves to religion and God as Pamela.
