I'm Manuel, a boy that lives in Pieris. It is a village situated in the North East of Italy. My house is very nice and it's got a lot of rooms. My favourite rooms are the living room and my bedroom. I've to share it my sister, but we like staying together. My house has got a garden, two garages and an area for my pets, too. I live with my family and with my grandparents here. My family consists of my dad Massimo, my mum Barbara and I. We are a nice family because we do many activities together, like running or watching TV. I'm an athletic boy: I practise Kayak but in Winter it's too cold to train, so we (my team and I) go to the swimming pool to swim twice a week, on Monday and on Wednesday, and go to a gym, on Thursday and on Tuesday. In the other days we run or train Kayak, but only when it isn't too cold. I have many other hobbies, like reading books. I like the books of Federico Moccia or the books that are set in the Second World War. I read "Miracle at St. Anna", that speaks of a group of American soldiersthat fought in the 2nd World War and they got lost in the mountains of Tuscany. It is wonderfull.
I like speaking of politics and of history, especially that of the 20th Century. I love studying it because it explains you many things about the contemporary World.
I have also a favourite music band: it is Modena City Ramblers, also known as MCR, an Italian folk band. Their songs are very pleasant because they have got a great meaning. They often talk about partisans' fight in Italy during the Nazist occupation. Their music is influenced by Celtic and by Irish folk themes.

J: I get up ay 5.00. Later I run for an hour. Then I go to school and come back at 14.00. In the afternoon I study or I do my homework. In the evening I watch TV or go out with my friends.
I: Is your family here in Italy?
J: No, they are in England. Only my brother Virgilio is here with me, but today he's in Rome.
I: Do you live in a flat or in a house?
J: I live in alittle flat.

M: Would you like to go to a Restaurant?
I: Great!
J: Yes, I'd like it very much.
