In my opinion the short story "Eveline" is arranged into four parts: the first  one covers lines from 1 to 48, he second from 48 to  115, the third from 116 to 137 and the fourth from 138 to the end.

the function of the firt part is to introduce the main charcter and the initial situation.

In the second pat the narrator tells the reader a piece ofEveline's plans for the future, but at the same time, he explains her thoughts at the reader.

The function of the third part is to focus again the attention of the reader on the initial situation.

the last part is the tragic conclusion of the story.
