SHE DWELT AMONG THE UNTRODDEN WAYS
Right from the title the reader understands that the content f the poem may deal with girl that walking among pathless ways and may expect the poem to be set in missing area.
A careful reading of the poem will show the text deals with the poet's memory of a girl that she was walking among the untrodden ways and she was alone in the society.
In fact when she died none remembered the girl, excluding the poet that he admired her.
The second part of the poem mainly expresses the poet's comparison of the girl with a violet and with a star that "when only one is shining in the sky". With two comparison the reader understands that the poet consider the girl a special person.
In the final part the poet says that the girl is died. She lived unknown and for this reason none realised that she died. So, there is difference only for the poet that know her.
The text is organized into three parts of four lines each that is into three quatrains, each one played a definite function in the economy of the poem. The first quatrain introduces the scene, the second one expresses the poet's comparisons and the end up with the girl's die.
