CHESIL BEACH

I have learn Chesil Beach (for the first time) when I read the novel "On Chesil Beach", by Ian Mc Ewan.

But what is and where is Chesil Beach?

Chesil Beach is a linear shingle beach situated in county of Dorset, southern England.

It is long 28 km and it spreads from Portland, in the south of West Bay, in north-west. The West Bay's dock is considered its limit.

The beach, thanks to storms and waves, is costituited by smooth and regular shingle.

Chesil Beach divides the sea, and it is like a  in fact, if you were on the beach, you could admire the sea at your right and at your left.
