Eveline is a short story that belongs to the collect of short stories "Dubliners" by James Joice. "Dubliners" is a metaphore. His stories represents an aspect who is tipically of the dubliners, the pharalisis and the unhability to act and to take decisions. The protagonist represents all this aspects, infact she is not able to decide what she would like to do in her life. She has got a lack of poit of view that doesn't allow her to take a decision. Her undecision is trasmitted to the reader in every detail. The narrator gives the impression of being into her mind and into her life making the same doubts that Eveline makes herself. The reader is not get bored because he feels across eveline's mind and actions.
