During the English Renaissance womens were considerate inferior to man. They hadn't got an intense social life out of her home. They hadn't got an education, only the rich girls recived it, expecially in good manners and in what was considered fondamental for the ideal women. As a matter of fact they had to obey their father and after the marrige, to their partner. Her body and her goods became proprierty of the hausband, her function was only to produce sons to continue the haudband's dynasty. Their life was mainly based on the home activities and they were punished with violence for an error or disobedience.
