Ecosistema è un termine utilizzato in ecologia.
Definisce quel rapporto di equilibrio tra le diverse forme di vita presenti in un ambiente. Questo equilibrio è mantenuto dalla catena alimentare che permette le relazioni tra fauna e flora nella vita di ogni giorno.
L'equilibrio però, può essere facilmente spezzato a colpa di un insediamento non corretto da parte degli esseri umani: infatti l'inquinamento provocato dalle varie industrie e dai mezzi di trasporto può provocare dei cambiamenti climatici che possono causare l'estinzione di molte specie animali.
E non solo. Anche gli ambienti naturali rischiano di scomparire a causa della forte ricerca delle materie prime e dei continui insediamenti con cui l'uomo distrugge ettari ed ettari di terreno per costruire edifici e strade. Queste verranno poi inondate da mezzi di trasporto che provocheranno solamente smog e inquinamento nell'aria, continuando così un ciclo molto pericoloso.
Nella foresta amazzonica, ad esempio, ogni anno vengono abbattuti centinaia e centinaia di alberi per la produzione del legname, danneggiando così la vita di tantissime specie viventi che abitano nella foresta e noi stessi perché senza il “polmone della Terra” non ci sarebbe nemmeno ossigeno puro sufficiente per tutti gli esseri viventi.

Ecology is very important for the human life. Man are developing more interest in the environment, and in the future of our planet.

The ecology analyzes the relations between the elements of an ecosystem. To understand the plot of relations, different knowledge are necessary. The term “ecology” was coined in 1869 by a German biologist (Ernst Haeckel), referring to the Greek origin of the word (study of the house).
Around 1925 other scientists (August Thienemann, Charles Elton, …) tried to work with concepts like the food web or the pyramid of species (ecology of the communities).
The problems ecology deals with aren’t new things. Deforestation and exploitation of the soil were present throughout history (for example, Plato wrote about the deforestation of Attica’s mountains).

The Earth is in danger of death of all living things and contamination of all its elements (ground, atmosphere and water). For this reason it’s important to make more aware of this problem people and children from the primary school. The lack of green spaces and many types of contamination make the atmosphere of cities very dangerous.
In the 1992 the member countries of the United States met at a conference to inform, alert and discuss about the negative effects of the technological and industrial development.

A lot of animals and species are already in danger of extinction.
