After Dave had left the college, his uncle died. Since he didn't have any children, he left his nephew a big amount of money. So, Dave decided to set up his own real estate agency and bought an office and some furniture for it. After a short time he had moved in, he heard a man walking in front of his office. He thought he must have been a customer and therefore he picked up the receiver in order to make him think he was very busy and reliable and had a lot of other customers. He pretended he was phoning to some New York's people to sell a house in the country. The man who was outside the office knocked at the door and waited for Dave finish his false course. Afterwards, he entered the room and told him he was a technician of the telephone company and he had gone there in order to connect his phone.
