A ROYAL WELCOME
Yesterday I got to New Town by train. When I got off, I was very glad to see that George was expecting me on the platform. We greeted each other, and reached the entrance together. When we arrived there I got a surprise, because there was a red carpet on the floor. It was very expensive, it might be worth 2000£, and I asked George if they were waiting for an important visitor. George made a joke, and told me it had been put there for me. But then he explained to me that a carpet company had left it there to tests its quality. He added they were going to leave it there for a month. Thousands of people would walk on it every day, me too. I exclaimed that people would receive a royal welcome.
