LATE FOR WORK
I got home at 6.00 pm from work. My wife opened the front door for me and we greeted each other. She asked me if I was tired. I answered I wasn't tired but I was hungry. She told me dinner would be ready in half an hour. Then I sat down and she sat beside me. After that, she asked me if I had caught the train on time that morning. I answered that I had run all over the station but I had arrived at four past nine and had missed the train. So, she wanted to know how I had got to work. I told her I had caught the train of 9.15 am. Therefore, she asked me when I had got to the office. I replied I had arrived at the office at 10.00 am. She got a surprise and wanted to know if my chief had reproached me. I informed her that he wasn't at the office and he had arrived late too, at half past ten.
