  •  Molly Bloom is in bed, she is trying to fall asleep but she can not do it because she starts to think. The flow of her thoughts goes on thinking about a lot of themes.
  •  I am now going to find out from the text the things which come to her mind. Her thoughts are about people in China, the nuns, the alarm clock next door, the flowers and the wallpaper in Lombard street, the apron her husband gave her, she will go to Lambes, she thinks also about her husband's friend who probably will come. Later her thought flows on doing her home up, she thinks about what they (she, her husband and the friend) can do for example she says they can have music and cigarettes, but before she has to clean the piano's keys. She thinks about what she can wear, the cakes, the smell in a big shop, she will also buy a plant for the middle of the table. She love flowers and nature, she refers also to God and to all the people who does not believe in God. Referring to them, she thinks that they have at first to see themselves and later they can howl for priest because they are afraid of hell. She asks herself about the first person in the universe. Later she thinks about the seedcake she gave to a man during a leap year, so while she is thinking she remembers that also now it is a leap year as 16 year ago. It was a kiss with that man, he said to Molly she is a flower and that the sun shines for her. She likes him. Later she thinks about some people (Mulvey, Mr Stanhope, Hester, father, the sailors, the Spanish girls) and what they are doing. She goes on thinking of people like Greeks, the Jews, the Arabs, in Europe and in Duke street, she thinks also about the donkeys slipping and the vague. Later another thought comes to her mind about an old castle and the Moors that ask you to go to their shop, she associates the shops with the windows of the posadas, the wine shops and the castanets. All the things she thinks are refer to what she saw with the man who kissed her. They were also in Algeciras and she remembers they missed the boat. Thinking about the bout she associates the sea and about all the things connected with the sea till thinking about Gibraltar. At the end she thinks again about the kiss he gave her under the Moorish wall. Finally she remembers that he asked her again to say yes, may be to be his wife. She answered yes.
  • The final thought is "yes I said yes I will yes". It may refer to the question the man asked her, I interpret it as Molly's agreement to be his wife. She reminds that at first she said yes, later she said yes I will to underline that she would become his wife and last but not least she said only yes confirm he position.
  • Molly Bloom is an autonomous and an adult woman who knows what she wants from her life. She is happy and she is interested in having a nice and cleaned home, she likes nature especially spring nature because there are a lot of flowers which like her a lot and gave her happiness.
