 Madre Teresa di Calcutta

 

The woman in the photo was Mother Teresa of Calcutta, She was born on 26 of August 1910 in Albania. She was catholic so she believed in God.

She won the Nobel in the 1979, for have helped poor people in Calcutta (India). She travelled the world to help the people (particulary the children), and founded a fondation called "Missionarie per la carità", and still today that is a big foundation composed of Suore from all over the world. 

She went in Italy to meet Papa Giovanni Paolo II and after that she went to the White House in Washington DC.

In the 1995 she was very ill and on the 5 September 1997 she died. But in 2003 Papa Giovanni Paolo II wanted to make her a Saint woman.
