"I vigliacchi muoiono molte volte prima di morire, mentre i coraggiosi provano il gusto della morte una sola volta"
I'm going to find a meaning of the quotation.
I think cowards are people who haven't courage to take a decision or to face a difficult situaltion.
For they is more easily to live in this way , as they are paralysed by something .
They live as they aren't alive, as a dead . They are in a "phase of no being" because only a person that doesn't make a decision to improve her/ his life can be comparated with a dead . When we die we are only ashes. When cowards lose all the occasion that life offers to them , they die every time . On the contrary brave people who try to find a way to live better, to be better , die just once.
They completely live without hesitation although in same occasion is very difficult.
Paralysis is a common theme in Dubliners. Eveline finds herself unable to move forward.
She lacks the courage and strength to make that leap that will free her of her oppressive situation. She is too scared to leave Ireland, and sees her lover as a possible source of danger.
. Instead of an uncertain but hopeful future, she faces a certain and dismal future that may well repeat her mother's sad life story.
