Victor Lustig was one of the most imaginative criminals in history. He was born in Prague in 1890, he learned to speak 5 languages but he soon turned to a life of crime. In the 1920s he emigrated to the USA. Here he swindled a bank manager. Three years later he returned in Europe.
When he was in Paris, he capitalized on a controversy about the Eiffel Tower. This way he could sell the Tower two times to some businessmen.
He had been arrested for the last time in 1935 and the judge sent him to Alcatraz. He died there in 1947.
