A LOCAL SUCCESS STORY.
John and Cynthia Brooks were an old couple who won over $10 million in the National Lottery. They said that they had never bought a lottery ticket before!
Cynthia was a school dinner lady, and John worked as a bus driver.
John told that he had bough the ticket only because he had seen his neighbour, June Parsons, getting a ticket too. Then Cynthia added that if she hadn't asked John to go and buy a newspaper he wouldn't been in the newsagent's at all.
Then Mrs Parsons, as she poured another glass of champagne for Cynthia, said that if she had come in the newsagent's two minutes later, the ticket would have been hers.
The old couple, then, had to plan what to do with all the money.
