An extract of the “Marden Today” wrote about John and Cynthia's life after 3 years from the big win in the lottery.
June Parsons told us how they had spent all the money they had won. She explained that Mr and Mrs Brooks hadn't listened to any of their friends and how this comportment irritated everyone.
June said that who was really to blame was John because he had started putting money on horse races. They also had to sold their house and all the jewellery and they had lost their friends.
At the end, June said that she would have spent the money in a very differently way if she had won three years ago.
