An old lady wanted to go to Dember, but before boarding she wanted to know if the airplane would go above the altitude of 4.000 feet. She argueed with the clerks and finally they fetched the pilot.
When the pilot arrived she asked him if the plane would go above 4.000 feet because she could be liable to have trouble, the pilot answered that Dember was 5.000 feet above the sea level. So the lady said she always assumed Dember was on the ground.

Mr.black travelled a lot. He always brought his children presents, these presents were usually useful things like shirt,combs...They always thanked him but they weren't very pleased with them so one day when he was reading a newspaper in the sitting room the children asked him for infomation.
They wanted to know if his father was going to travell soon, he said yes, and they added to bring them useless thing like toys and sweets.

When my wife and me arrived at the hotel, we asked the hotel manager if there was a room free on the first floor. He sadi yes, then we asked if the rooms had private bathrooms. He said yes again, so we decided to stay there and the hotel manager gave us the key of the room 21. When we arrived at the room, we heard a voice singing, it came from the bathroom. We went there and knocked the door and I asked the unkonwn man what he was doing in our bathroom. He answered angrily that was his room and he was doing a bath. My wife called the hotel manager to solve the problem, but when he arrived in the room he said immediately he had made mistake. He apologised for it and he said our room was number 22.

How do you do?
Do you know the way to the centre?
Bye! I'll see you tomorrow.
I'm sorry. I'm late.

"Hello, how are you?" "Fine, thanks."

How do you feel today?
It's next to the bank.

Would you like to play tennis tomorrow? I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'm going to the cinema.
Shall I help you with those books? That's very kind of you. Thanks very much.
Would you like some ice cream? Thanks, but I'd rather have a drink.
Do you mind if I sit here? That's fine, please do.
Could you pass me the salt, please? Sure, here you are.

Es.3 pag.417
- Listen John, I'm really tired. Why don't we stay at home this evening?
- Yes, good idea. I'd prefer to stay at home too.
- OK. And I don't want to cook. Shall we order a Chinese meal?
- I'd rather have a pizza, thanks. What about after dinner? Do you fancy getting a DVD to - watch at home?
- That would be great. What would you like to see? How about "Fred's family"?
- Actually, I'd rather see "Darkness in the woods". Graham says it's really good.
- OK, I totally agree with you. I've heard it's good too. Shall I call for the pizza now or later?
- Call now, I'm starving.
- OK. What sort of pizza do you want? Margherita?
- No, I'd rather have one with jam.
- Me too.

- It's quite far. Would you like me to tell you the bus numbers for the centre?
- That's very kind of you.
- OK. You can take the 28 or the 32. Get off after the station.
- Thanks very much. Let me help you with that big bag.

Dear Teen Scene,
Please help me with this problem: I think it's wrong to eat animals and I know it's also healthier to follow a diet with no meat, so I'd like to become a vegetarian. The problem is my mum believes this is not healthy, and she refuses to cook separate meals for me. So no dinner for me! Do you think is this fair?
What would you do in my position?
Thanks very much for your advice!
Dawn

Dear Dawn,
I apologize if I seem hard, but a vegetarian diet is very difficult to follow - please don't invent one. In my opinion you should go and speak to a doctor to check you are eating properly. I believe it's unfair to treat your mum like a restaurant. If you don't want to eat the family meal, then cook your own.

Es.7 pag.419
In Britain, many teenagers take part in work experience programmes as part of their education. This means that they have a job for a few hours a week in a real work situation. The idea of this kind of job is not to get money, and in fact such jobs are usually unpaid, but to find out what it is like to have a real job. Work experiences usually lasts for only a short period - a month, for examples - and it is part of the school programme, so everyone has to take part. Obviously, students are not allowed to do dangerous or unsuitable jobs. The general idea is not to train a young person to do a job, just so that they can find a similar job when they leave school. The students are having the chance to learn what the world outside the school is like, and how to get on with other people. It is also a chance to think about a possible career, and students can discover what they dislike as well as what they like. In some schools, students take jobs in the school itself, teaching young pupils or doing office work. It all sounds like a good idea, but the main problem is in finding a suitable work for students to do. It is usually a problem easier to do this in large city areas, than in isolated rural communities.
